Student Visas

Australia boasts one of the world’s finest education systems for international students. As a result, we highly encourage international students to consider Australia as their destination of choice for further studies.

The Australian education system is unique in that it offers primary, secondary, and tertiary education, all of which are governed by the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). The AQF is a national policy that outlines how qualifications at each level of education correspond to one another.

International students have the opportunity to study at all levels of education in Australia, ranging from primary and secondary schools to vocational education and training (VET) programs, English language courses, and higher education institutions, including universities. In Australia, the term “tertiary education” encompasses both higher education, i.e., universities and VET and TAFE colleges.

Higher education institutions are governed by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency, while VET institutions and TAFEs are overseen by the Australian Skills Quality Authority. These organizations are responsible for the registration and re-registration of institutions, as well as the accreditation and re-accreditation of courses.

Before you make an application with an Australian education provider, we always recommend that you really consider the field of study that you are most interested in, as well as the school, college, or university that best fits your preferences and budget, including the city that suits your lifestyle.

Research the subject areas that appeal to you the most, read course descriptions, and browse university reviews and locations. Begin to create a wishlist of your preferences and gradually narrow down your choices to find the best fit for you and your future career.

Applying for Enrolment

To begin the enrolment process, you must first successfully apply to an Australian education provider either by yourself or with the assistance of an education agent, such as one of our team members.

In addition, you will be required to provide a copy of your identification such as a copy of your passport, along with several documents, including certificates verifying your prior education and any qualifications you possess. You must also provide evidence of your proficiency in the English language, as well as any certificates or documentation that confirm your previous work experience or coursework if you are seeking course credits.

English proficiency requirements

Non-native English speakers must provide a certificate from an English language test, with IELTS and PTE being the most commonly accepted exams. In cases where a candidate does not hold an IELTS or PTE certificate, some schools may require them to take a placement test instead.

It is important to note that minimum requirements for English proficiency differ for each education level, and that institutions may set higher requirements for certain courses. Therefore, it is crucial to research and understand the specific requirements for the course and institution you are interested in.
