Student Visa Work Restrictions

The cap on the number of hours worked per fortnight has been increased to 48 hours as of 1 July 2023. The primary goal of this change is to ensure that international students are able to focus on their studies while still being financially independent, gaining valuable work experience, and contributing to Australia’s workforce needs.

It is important for both employers and student visa holders to take note of the work restriction cap when it is reintroduced.
